Education and specialization<\/h2>\n

Allan E. Larsen graduated from the University of Bergen<\/a>, Norway in 1998, and is a licensed clinical psychologist in Denmark and Norway. He is a board-certified Specialist and Supervisor in Psychotherapy (Danish Psychologist Association), Specialist in Clinical Psychology (Norwegian Psychologist Association), and Supervisor in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy (Danish Psychiatric Society). He is trained in psychoanalytic psychotherapy, and has advanced training as a therapist, supervisor, and teacher in ISTDP<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Current and previous employment<\/h2>\n

Allan has previously worked in adult psychiatry, and child and adolescent psychiatry, in Denmark and Norway, held leadership positions in various treatment services, and participated in research projects in Norway and the USA. Concurrently, he has had his own clinic since 2000, and has been in a clinic partnership with Jacob Sand Christensen since 2016, until the establishment of ISTDPCPH in 2022.
