Why ISTDP in business contexts?
The way in which ISTDP understands human psychological dynamics has attracted the business world, in their efforts to facilitate performance and well-being for the individual employee.
The key is to understand, use, and develop one’s personality in a professional context in such a way, that the individual can both perform, be balanced, and in harmony with themselves and others while achieving their objectives.
Our focus is on what brings the best effects in the personal developmental journey, and to help you get a grip on the central internal dynamics that stand in the way of performance, growth and well-being. This may be caused by fundamental problems, but also milder problematic reactions, such as noticing that you in management meetings tend to pull a little too much in one direction in the relational dynamics, despite what you really want and know would be the best for you. So why is this happening, and how can it be changed?
The focus is on the leadership role because the relational element is central to the act of leadership. Both in interaction with employees, management of teams, participation in management teams, achieving impact in the organization and handling resistance, stress pressure, frustrations, and maneuverability in the political dimension.
What we offer
The manager uses his personality as a tool in leadership. The intention and mission of our training and support programs is to make the large amount of knowledge, the results from the ISTDP research, its operationalization, and experiences from therapy sessions, available for leaders.
We can help leaders gain insight into general personality dynamics, but also work with specific personal issues, where an inappropriate reaction, for example, occurs again and again.
Our activities can be divided into 3 levels, differentiated by intensity and depth. The activities are often integrated into existing leadership development and team programs.
